Free donuts as Gojek officially launches in Thailand

Gojek, Southeast Asia’s leading mobile on-demand services and payments platform, today announced the official launch of the Gojek app in Thailand. Starting from 6:00am this morning, customers in Thailand can access services for food delivery (GoFood), motorbike ride-hailing (GoRide), courrier (GoSend) and e-wallet (GoPay) via the Gojek app, which is available for download via iOS and Android. It features a new and improved look and feel as well as multiple feature upgrades to reduce life’s daily frictions with enhancements to customer experience and security.

The move follows GET’s recent announcement that it would unite its app and brand under Gojek as part of its long-term strategy to make a lasting positive impact and accelerate innovation for its customers in Thailand. GoViet, the company’s operation in Vietnam, was relaunched as Gojek on August 5 and was met with enthusiasm by users, generating millions of new bookings in its first few weeks of operation.

New features introduced today include a simpler, more seamless user interface; ‘Dish likes and favorites’, which enables users to like and save their favorite dishes within GoFood for future orders; ‘Consumer-to-Consumer Chat’, an in-app instant messaging feature that allows users to chat and share their favorite merchants or dishes with friends; and’Invite Friends’, a referral feature that allows users to easily recommend the Gojek app to friends.

Gojek is also introducing a new service, ‘GoFood Pickup’, which enables users to order in advance and get food quickly and cheaply from nearby food establishments without waiting in line. GoFood Pickup is in a pilot phase with over 500 participating merchant outlets in the city central area.Gojek users can now also access the Gojek app in all countries where it operates including Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and Thailand.

Gojek’s driver and merchant partners will also benefit from today’s launch. The new GoPartner app for drivers features a more convenient registration process for new Gojek drivers, while existing driver partners will see an improved user interface with a more seamless work experience. The new GoBiz app for merchants includes new features like ‘chat head notifications’ to allow merchants to receive new order notifications – even when the app is closed – various improvements to the help center, and ‘merchant partner and super partner badges’ which help users identify partners with guaranteed quality service.Introducing Gojek to Thailand

To mark the launch, Gojek kicked off a massive city-wide brand campaign, part of the company’s first-ever global marketing campaign, in order to help both existing and potential users get to know the brand. The campaign is centered on a series of visually arresting videos and images which demonstrate a world where everything flows – a reflection of the company’s mission to reduce everyday frictions for users. The brand videos were directed by renowned award-winning filmmaker, Henry Schofield, who directed record-breaking videos for several popular international singer / songwriters.

In order to encourage more users to try its Super App experience, Gojek is also giving away free Krispy Kreme donuts to 10,000 users on September 17, 2020 from noon to 6pm as part of its Gojek Exclusive campaign. Users can simply find the nearest branch of Krispy Kreme on the Gojek app and place an order of three donuts for free. In addition, various promotional discounts are offered to all new users from now until 30 September 2020:
