These strengths enable it to meet the evolving demands of global MICE organizers. Moreover, it is a one of the top travel destination globally.
The summit’s theme, “See Tomorrow Now,” encouraged participants to envision Thailand’s potential as a MICE powerhouse. TCEB President Mr. Chiruit Isarangkun Na Ayuthaya noted the event’s success. Furthermore, he stated, “The summit brought together key global decision-makers, providing a firsthand look at Thailand’s strategies for advancing the MICE industry.” Participants gained insights that will likely shape future exhibition venue choices, further elevating Thailand’s profile.
PM of Thailand committed to improving MICE industry and expects more exhibitions
Thai Prime Minister Paetongtarn Shinawatra underscored the government’s commitment to establishing Thailand as a leading MICE hub. She announced the launch of a “One Stop Service System”. The Thai government has designed the system to streamline exhibition logistics and enhance convenience for international attendees. Officials met with MICE leaders in a roundtable discussion. They emphasized the sector’s importance in attracting foreign direct investment and promoting business partnerships. Additionally, they highlighted how MICE contributes to Thailand’s GDP through high-value tourism.
Sustainability and cultural pride also played key roles. Hybrid transportation, local ingredients, and traditional Thai art and performances infused a uniquely Thai touch, showcasing the country’s commitment to responsible tourism. TCEB projects that Thailand will host 60 new international exhibitions between 2025 and 2027. Moreover, these events are expected to generate over 7.4 billion baht in revenue and attract around 426,000 visitors. The total economic impact is anticipated to reach 11.6 billion baht.
